Alta Gracia is home to one of the Jesuit estancias that supplied the order's colleges and missions in the Córdoba region, a network the University of Córdoba now treats as part of the same heritage story as the Jesuit block in the city. The marathon is on a Sunday, and the day after is a Monday when the museum in the old estancia has historically been shut. The simple solution is to travel on Monday, sleep in town and visit on Tuesday.

The rooms in the old residence are the main interest, and the visit is a walk at a slow pace with plenty of places to stop. Choose the guided visit if you want a seated start. Rates and availability change, so ask the town's tourism office for current rooms near the estancia.

Getting Home

Return to Córdoba on the Tuesday afternoon or the Wednesday morning, depending on your flight. Ambrosio Taravella airport (COR) is the airport. Municipal tourism lists an Aerobus between the airport and the Nueva Terminal de Ómnibus, and its timetable and payment method need a check with the operator. Leave a generous margin before an international flight.
