Terms of use

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses marathonpassport.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

What the site is

MarathonPassport is an independent guide to marathons and the travel around them: race information, neighbourhood and hotel guidance, itineraries and articles. It is not a race organiser, a tour operator or a booking agent. Entries, bookings and purchases are made with the organiser or provider named, under their terms.

Check race details with the organiser

Race dates, start times, routes, entry rules, ballot windows, cut-offs, transport and prices change between editions, sometimes at short notice. The site tries to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee that any detail is current. Confirm everything that affects money or travel with the official race website before you book flights, hotels or an entry. Spotted a mistake? Email hello@marathonpassport.com.

Training and health

Nothing here is medical or coaching advice. Pace tools and course notes are planning aids only. If you have a health condition or are unsure whether you are fit to run a marathon, speak to a doctor before you train or race.

Copyright and use of content

The text, data compilations, maps and layout on this site belong to MarathonPassport or its licensors. You may read it, share links to it and quote short extracts with a link back. Copying substantial parts, republishing the race database or scraping the site in bulk needs written permission; email hello@marathonpassport.com to ask. Race names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify the events.

Links to other sites

The site links to organisers, hotels, transport operators and shops. Those sites are run by other people, and MarathonPassport is not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the site's operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use automated tools in a way that degrades it for other readers. Search engines and similar crawlers that follow the rules in robots.txt are welcome.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, MarathonPassport is not liable for losses arising from reliance on its content, including missed races, lost bookings, travel costs or injury. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to use your local courts.
