The Córdoba Marathon is on a Sunday in July, which makes the Monday a working weekday in the city and a poor day for stairs. The Jesuit block is the one visit that needs little walking if you choose it carefully. Book a single tour, take a taxi in each direction, and spend the rest of the day on a chair.

July in Córdoba: July is winter. The city's monthly averages for 1981 to 2010 give a mean daily low of 4.0°C and a mean daily high of 17.6°C, with 13.5 mm of rain over about 2.7 days. Mornings are cold and the middle of the day is milder, so take a warm layer and plan for a coat indoors in old stone buildings.

The Tour

The Manzana Jesuítica, at Obispo Trejo 242, is a block of Jesuit buildings that municipal tourism ties to the city's World Heritage listing. Its published pattern is Spanish-language tours on weekdays at 11:00 and 15:00 and on Saturdays and holidays at 11:00, with English tours on weekdays at 10:00 by reservation. Check the current times, since the schedule can change from year to year.

The church of the Compañía de Jesús and the Capilla Doméstica belong to the same complex, so count them as one visit and ask what your booked tour includes. Ask about steps and seating when you reserve, and take the seat whenever one is offered.

The Museo Histórico del Colegio Monserrat is next door at Obispo Trejo 294. Ring ahead for its opening times before counting on it.

Dinner

San Honorato, at 25 de Mayo 1208, serves dinner from Monday to Saturday between 20:30 and midnight. It does not open for Sunday service, which makes Monday evening the first available night after the race. Book a table and confirm the hours.

Getting Home

Return to your hotel by taxi. For a flight, the airport is Ambrosio Taravella (COR). Municipal tourism lists an Aerobus to the Nueva Terminal de Ómnibus, but its timetable and payment method need a check with the operator.
