The Córdoba Marathon is a Sunday race, and by Monday the thought of hills is not welcome. Villa General Belgrano is a mountain town, but its centre is a place for sitting in cafés and walking slowly. Travel on Monday or Tuesday, spend an afternoon in town and keep the second day open.
July in Villa General Belgrano: July is winter. Córdoba city's monthly averages for 1981 to 2010 give a mean daily low of 4.0°C and a mean daily high of 17.6°C, and a town in the sierras can feel colder at night. Provincial tourism connects the town with a chocolate festival in July, which ran from 4 to 26 July in 2026. The 2027 dates must be checked, because the festival may overlap with the race weekend or fall after it.
Nights One and Two: Villa General Belgrano
Arrive in the afternoon and leave the first evening free for a seat and a meal. On the second day, choose a café and a museum before anything that involves a slope. The town's beer festival is held in October and is not a July event.
Take a warm layer and a hat for evenings. If the chocolate festival is running, expect more people in the centre and book rooms accordingly. Rates and availability change, so ask the town's tourism office for current options.
Getting Home
Return to Córdoba on the third day by the same road and allow time for the transfer. Ambrosio Taravella airport (COR) is the airport, and municipal tourism lists an Aerobus to the Nueva Terminal de Ómnibus. Check its timetable and payment method with the operator, and leave a margin before an international flight.
