After the Douala Marathon: Three Nights in Yaoundé
The Route: Douala → Yaoundé (2 nights) → Douala (1 night) → Airport Logistics: Book the transport and the hotels in advance and check current services before you pay. Marathon Month: November Duration: 3 nights
Douala ──(booked road transport)──> Yaoundé (2 nights)

Airport (DLA) <──(buffer night)── Douala <┘
Yaoundé is Cameroon's capital, and its Musée national is a working venue. Allow a day for the journey, a day for something cultural and a night back in Douala before you fly.
November in Yaoundé: it is warm and wet in a typical November. Take a waterproof and a hat.
Getting There
Ask your hotel or an operator for a driver or an intercity service between Douala and Yaoundé. Ask for the current timetable, the journey time and the luggage rules, because they change. Do not put an intercity journey on the same day as an international flight.
Nights One and Two: Yaoundé
Book a hotel in advance. Check the Musée national's current opening times and any guided visit before you go, because the Tourism Week events held there in September do not repeat in November. Plan one cultural stop and a rest day.
Night Three: Douala
Come back to Douala so that your last night is close to the airport. Leave your bags at the hotel and keep the morning for rest.
Getting Home
Douala International Airport (DLA) is the arrival point for most visitors, and a hotel transfer is the simplest way to reach it. Leave a generous buffer.
Do not add Limbé, Buea or Mount Cameroon to this trip. FCDO advises against all but essential travel to Limbé and its N3 corridor and against most of the South-West.
