This is a rest-focused extension, a long way from the finish. The resort sits off Iworo Road on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. Ask the resort what the current route and journey time are, because Lagos traffic changes them daily.

February in Lagos State: hot and humid, with a monthly mean of about 29°C. Shade and a pool matter more than sightseeing.

Nights One and Two: Whispering Palms

Book directly through the resort's own site. The resort has changed management recently, so older descriptions of its facilities may be out of date; ask what is open. Walks in the grounds are optional. A history excursion in Badagry needs separate research into access, opening and transport, and is not covered here.

Getting Back

Return in daylight. FCDO advises limiting travel after dark outside city centres. Leave a generous margin before your flight from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS), and agree the fare and the pickup time in advance.
