The race starts in St. Anton and finishes in Silbertal, which means that anyone who stayed in St. Anton for the race has to get back to it. The organiser runs a paid return shuttle for that, with seats that must be reserved. The finish closes at 17:00, so a runner who expects to arrive near the limit should reserve the later departure. After that, the Arlberg is a good place to recover.

June in St. Anton: the village sits at about 1,300 m. The 1971 to 2000 June normal gives a mean daily maximum of 18.1°C, a minimum of 6.2°C and about 134 mm of rain. The mornings are cold and the afternoons can be warm in the sun. Some hotels are closed between the ski and hiking seasons, so check each place before you rely on it.

Getting there

Reserve a seat on the organiser's afternoon return shuttle when you register. In the published 2026 arrangement it left Silbertal at 16:15 and 17:30 and arrived in St. Anton about 75 minutes later. Seats are limited, so check the price and the booking method when you register. If you miss the shuttle, a taxi or a rail and bus journey is the fallback, and you should look up the connections before race day.

Nights one and two: St. Anton

Many St. Anton hotels close between the winter and summer seasons, and some open only in July. Schwarzer Adler, for example, published a 2026 summer season that began on 10 July, so it may be shut in June. Ask any hotel to confirm its opening dates before you book, and book the race night and the nights after in the same place if you can.

On the Sunday, the Museum St. Anton at Rudi-Matt-Weg 10 was open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00 in summer 2026, until 13 September, and closed Mondays. The start of the next season is not published, so check its website. It is a short, flat walk in the village.

Keep walking light. A slow turn of the village will do your legs more good than a trail, and your quadriceps will not want another descent so soon after Saturday's.

Where to eat

Restaurants in St. Anton follow the hotel seasons, so some will be closed in June. Ask your hotel which places are open on your nights, and book for the evening.
