Every marathon entry includes two Futuroscope tickets, collected at the Marathon Village with your bib. They are valid from the Village opening at 16:00 on Friday 9 April 2027. The organiser had not announced the last valid date or any excluded days by September 2026, and the excluded days are shown via a QR code on the back of the tickets, so check them before planning your visit. Four more tickets can be bought at half price when you enter.
When to Go
A theme park is a long day on your feet: queues, walking between shows and a lot of standing. That is hard on legs the day after a marathon. If your tickets allow it, go on the Friday or Saturday before the race and keep the visit short, or wait until two or three days after the race. If you only have the Monday, choose the seated shows and simulators and take regular breaks.
The Park
Futuroscope is built around film and screen technology: large-format cinemas, motion simulators, dark rides and an evening show on the lake. The buildings themselves, all glass and odd angles, are part of the visit. Opening days and hours change through the season, so check the park calendar for April before you travel.
Getting There and Back
From central Poitiers, Vitalis buses run to the Futuroscope area; check the route and the timetable for your day. Drivers can use the park car parks. From further afield, TGVs stop at Futuroscope station, a walk from the park entrance.
Where to Eat
The park has restaurants inside, and the hotels around it, including the Mercure and the Altéora, have their own. Book dinner if you are staying for the evening show.
