The marathon is run on a Sunday, which makes Monday the day after. The Mohammed VI Museum is closed on Tuesdays, so Monday suits it well and a later day would not.
April in Rabat: mild, with a monthly mean of about 16°C and some rain on a few days. Bring a light layer and an umbrella you can fold.
The Museum
The Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is at 2 Avenue Moulay Hassan. Regional tourism listings give opening from 10:00 to 18:00, closed Tuesdays. Check the current hours and the exhibitions before you go. Galleries are indoors and the floors are level, so it is the right first stop for tired legs. Sit down often.
Lunch
Dinarjat, at 6 rue Belgnaoui in the medina, serves lunch from 12:30 to 14:30, with tagines and couscous on the menu. Book ahead. The restaurant offers an escorted arrival from the car park, which is useful because the last stretch is on foot.
The Kasbah
The Musée des Oudaïas shares the 10:00 to 18:00, Tuesday-closed pattern. The lanes of the Kasbah have steps and uneven stone, so choose one museum visit and a short walk, not a full circuit.
Getting Back
Use a licensed taxi and agree the fare before you set off. Some app-booked taxis are unregulated, so ask your hotel which service it uses.
