Nights one and two: Aalborg

Aalborghus Castle, Jens Bangs Stenhus (1624), Budolfi Church, Aalborg Tower and the Town Hall are all in the old centre. The Utzon Center is at Slotspladsen 4, open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 17:00, and costs DKK 60. Lindholm Høje is a Viking graveyard, open daily 10:00 to 17:00 from April to October, also DKK 60. Check the dates if you travel late in October. Jomfru Ane Gade has about 30 bars and restaurants, which is useful when your legs cannot go far.

Getting home

Aalborg Airport bus no. 2 runs infrequently at weekends and in the evenings, and it stops at about 23:00. Check the timetable the day before and book a taxi if you land late.
