Brussels Marathon: what happened to it
The Brussels Marathon ran for the last time in 2025. The City of Brussels withdrew its support in November 2025 and the race is not held in the city from 2026. A successor event in another municipality of the Brussels-Capital Region has not been ruled out, but none has been announced. The 20 km de Bruxelles continues each May as a separate event. The nearest full marathons are in Ghent and Antwerp.
