Staying put is the kindest plan after a marathon. The race ends on a Sunday morning, you sleep that night in the same bed as the one before, and the outings are short.
February in Moshi: generally hot and drier between the rainy seasons, though showers happen. Sun protection matters more than a jacket.
Night One: Rest
Keep the first afternoon free. Primeland Hotel on Sokoine Road has a pool and a restaurant, and its lunch runs from 12:30 to 15:00. Salinero Kilimanjaro, off Lema Road, has an on-site restaurant and a quieter setting. Both are verified businesses; check current rooms and what each can arrange.
Day Two: Coffee
Visit a Materuni coffee farm with a driver, and ask for the coffee-only version without the waterfall hike. The operator quotes about 45 to 60 minutes each way.
Night Two: Springs
On the second day, ask your driver about the Chemka (Kikuletwa) hot springs, which the tourism authority puts at about 35 km from Moshi. Check road access and opening arrangements first. Paddling is plenty; swim only if you want to.
Where to Stay
Keys Hotel on Uru Road and Kibo Palace Hotel Moshi on Riadha Street are other verified options. Do not confuse Kibo Palace's Moshi hotel with its Arusha branch.
Getting Home
Book a hotel or partner transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and leave a generous margin.
