After the Lewa Safari Marathon: Lewa and Nairobi
The Route: Lewa lodge → Lewa Downs → Wilson Airport → Nairobi → Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Logistics: One flight and one road transfer. The conservancy and the city are very different places, so book each leg separately. Marathon Month: May Duration: 3 nights

Jomo Kenyatta International (NBO) ◄──(road)── Nairobi (1 night) ◄──┘
Two nights at a Lewa lodge come first, as in the two-night itinerary. The third night is in Nairobi, which puts the international flight a short drive away instead of a five-hour road transfer.
May in Kenya: the long rains of April and May affect the roads, and Nairobi traffic can be heavy in wet weather. Check the forecast and leave extra time on the day of the flight.
Nights One and Two: Lewa
Two short seated game drives, a conservation experience booked through the lodge and plenty of rest. Elewana Lewa Safari Camp, Elewana Kifaru House, Lewa House, Lewa Wilderness and Sirikoi are the conservancy's listed lodges. Ask each for a written quote, May opening dates and soft-bag limits for the flight.
Night Three: Nairobi
Wilson Airport is on the south side of the city. Book a driver in advance. The Giraffe Centre and the Karen Blixen Museum are in the Karen district and are short, level visits, though opening hours and prices change so check before you go. Choose a hotel near your onward airport transfer. Current FCDO advice for Kenya, including health and security notes, is worth reading before you travel, and a northern safari needs its own malaria advice.
Getting Home
On the final day take a road transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). Allow generous time for traffic.
